Vicente Escudero
VICENTE ESCUDERO (born Valladolid, 1887-1980)Escudero was a master flamenco dancer and also a painter. In 1925 Vicente moved to Paris France where he would be situated as a major force in flamenco. His influence on helping form the style of male dance is found in his "Decalogue of Vicente Escudero on the Pure Flamenco Dance." While in Paris, Vicente befriended the surrealists, and his painting later continued in that style.
