(Morón, a time and a rhythm)
Compañia Juana Amaya
with Juan del Gastor
August 4-6, 2006

Fri & Sat at 8pm; Sun at 6pm

The festival presents a premiere work dedicated to the flamenco of Morón de la Frontera. Morón, a tiempo y a compás is an ode to a singular style of flamenco found in this tiny village. Juana Amaya’s company will include her uncle, the legendary guitarist Juan del Gastor, her daughter Nazaret, and other musicians and dancers from Morón. This marks the first time that Juana will have performed with her uncle, making these performances a tribute as well to the del Gastor legacy that she and her daughter have inherited.
