Call for petition signatures from FlamencArte
The well known 'La Carboneria' in Sevilla is in danger of no longer being able to exist as it has for the last 30 years and as you all have come to know and appreciate; a special place to cultivate the arts. The neighbors of the area all but one ....), close to La Carboneria, are showing their support by trying to obtain 3,000 (minimum amount required by govt.) names to keep La Carboneria as it has always been and as we cherish in our hearts; a place where all sorts of dance, music, and all expressions of art have always freely been portrayed. For many it has been a place to see and hear some wonderful and memorable flamenco: October.....less than a week away! Yes, this makes me nervous too, but it is the only way that the government will accept the sginatures on the petition.
